Another attraction in Oslo during the Christmas celebrations is the organisation of The Annual Christmas Fair at the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History. The fair is a popular tradition among both tourists & locals and is considered to be the largest pre-Christmas event in Oslo. Visitors purchase homemade crafts & decorations, cakes and other Christmas treats from over 100 old-fashioned stalls.

The cafés are decorated for the Christmas holidays and serve coffee, gingerbread cakes & other Norwegian Christmas specialties to children and visitors. The stalls in the open-air museum are decorated according to the traditions of the original inhabitants, showing how Christmas has been celebrated through the ages in both poor & rich Norwegian homes.
